Here's what I found so far. In the 1930 US Census at Adams, MA, there is a Norbert G Bedard, 5, born in Massachusetts, the son of Prosper M, 35, born in Massachusetts to a father born in Canada and a mother born in Massachusetts. The mother is Elmira, 35, born in Canada from Canadian born parents. Prosper and Elmira married around 1921 (they were 26). The other children are son Gerald P (7), daughter Geraldine M (6), son Raymond P (3), son Leonard J (1) and a newborn daughter Marcella C. Still in the 1930 US Census at Adams, found a Prosper, 60, born in Canada, wife is Salome, 57, born in Massachusetts. Living with them are son Arthur (32), daughter Blanche B (27) and son Louis (N or V), 25, all born in Massachusetts. This Prosper is most probably Prosper M's father. In the 1920 US Census at Adams. Image not good, hard to read. Prosper, born in Canada, this time wife is called Sarah, born in Massachusetts, daughter Gloria, son Prosper (25), son Arthur, daughter Blanche ... all were born in Massachusetts. In the 1910 US Census at Adams. Same family plus a son called Herbe (Herve?) aged 14. In the 1900 US Census at Adams. Prosper (b. in Canada January 1870), wife Sarah (b. in Massachusetts May 1872), daughter Lorina (b, January 1893), son Prosper Jr (born September 1894), son Erving (b. January 1896) and son Arthur (b. September 1897). Children were all born in Massachusetts. The father Prosper, declares he immigrated to the States in 1883. In the US Military records World War I. Registration card for Prosper M Bedard, born 21 Sep 1896, born in Adams, MA. Employed by Prosper Bedard in Adams. He signs Prosper Matthew (or Mathieu). I found one Prosper born in January 1870 - we had his parents - just added him Prosper BEDARD (I171681). I looked for a death, marriage in this province ... nothing. On the baptism act, the father Chrysologue is said to be a mason. In the 1900 US Census, Prosper is said to be a stone mason.

Mystery Photo

Larry, I have this unidentified picture (from my mother's). Have a feeling it might have to do with Voyer or Rainville. Do you think you could add it to "Most Wanted" > Mystery Photos? Never know! Thanks, Jacqui ps: the picture was shot by a well-known photographer who had studios in Québec and Lévis, A.R. Roy - I'd say early 1900's (but I'm no expert).
